Summer Camp Re-Cap - Willy Wonka Week
Last week was Willy Wonka Week at the Club!
Club members got to participate in activities and crafts inspired by the Willy Wonka movies!
Mr. Noah got things “popping,” starting the week off with members making their own root beer! Club members also made their own Willy Wonka-inspired rooms, which included an ESPN room, a gaming room, and of course candy rooms! They also made their own short stories and poems!
On Friday, Mr. Noah led a Career Launch field trip to Cue Health, to learn how they handle manufacturing and how they conduct research.
Miss True’s groups made their own wonky slime that they got to create and play with once it solidified! Miss True also helped members make their own Play-Doh food creations and hosted a few gripping games of Pictionary!
Miss Christine leaned into Willy Wonka week, adding a cool STEM twist! Members got to make their own cup of edible bacteria! Jell-O with candy and the knowledge of how bacteria grows spreads, and evolves made for a memorable and delicious time! Our 4th-grade group also finished building and testing their cars!
The week rounded off with a trip to the Wave Waterpark, what a way to beat this scorching summer heat!
Come back next week for our final Summer Camp Re-Cap!
