Summer Camp Re-Cap - Mission Impossible
Let’s recap Mission Impossible Week at the Boys & Girls Club of Vista!
Our Club members got to recreate famous paintings and art pieces from history, led by Ms. True! Once the paintings were complete it was time for the heist. The art pieces were set up in a museum-like display kitted out with a laser display to “safeguard the goods” and “booby traps” to make the heist feel more high stakes! Members were tasked with maneuvering the “lasers,” making sure not to trip any alarms! Once they got to the art, they needed to grab it and maneuver back through the course without setting off any “booby traps.”
Ms. Christine group put the finishing touches on their cars before testing their durability down the stairs. The goal was for the cars to make it down the ramp while keeping the egg “test dummy” safe, good news, our Club members’ cars succeeded!
For our older Club members, Mr. Carlo made an “escape room”, he crafted riddles and puzzles for them to solve in order to “escape” the room! Members had an hour to work together and practice teamwork and cognitive thinking in order to succeed!
Mr. Jose and Mr. Danny hosted a variety of gym activities throughout the week such as capture the flag, hockey, and an intense 6 versus 7 games of soccer!
Come back next week as we recap Willy Wonka Week!
