2024 Youth of the Year Celebration

10 Club members were honored at the Boys & Girls Club of Vista’s annual Youth of the Year celebration January 31, 2024 at the City of Vista Morris B. Vance Community Room.  Mary Taylor, an 8th Grader, was named the 2024 Junior Youth of the Year.  This award is based on youth contributions to their Club, school, community, and family as well as for academic success, healthy lifestyles, leadership and obstacles overcome. Mary, a homeschool student with Classical Academy Charter, found her passion for football and music to be central to her Club experience. Starting in the Club’s music studio, Mary cultivated her love for playing the drums, eventually becoming the lead drummer of the club's rock band. Her dedication led to her contribution to the recording of two albums, showcasing her talent and commitment to music.
