October 2024 Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are thrilled to share some exciting news about new opportunities and updates happening at the Boys & Girls Club of Vista! Our mission is to provide a wide range of activities and programs that engage and support the growth and development of our Club members. With that in mind, we’re proud to announce that we have expanded our Club offerings, now with over 20 different clubs for your child to choose from! Each of these clubs is designed to encourage exploration, learning, and fun.

New Games Room Upgrades,

Our beloved Games Room has been going through a makeover! We have updated the space with fresh flooring and a vibrant paint job, creating an even more welcoming and enjoyable environment for our members. The Games Room is central to so many of our activities, and we can’t wait for your children to experience the new and improved space.

Programs for K-1st Graders,

Our youngest members, from Kindergarten through 1st grade, have been having an amazing time participating in activities tailored just for them! We’ve had a blast with our "Read It and Eat" program, where kids dive into exciting stories and create snacks that go along with the theme of the book. In addition, we’ve introduced some fun STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) to inspire their creativity and problem-solving skills. And when the weather is nice, we’ve been taking full advantage with a variety of outdoor games and activities to keep them moving and engaged!

New Sports Center Opening at Linda Rhoades Complex,

We are beyond excited to announce the opening of our new Sports Center at the Linda Rhoades Complex, starting October 1st. This program is designed for students in grades 4th through 8th and will run Monday through Friday, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Best of all, it’s completely free! We’ll be offering a variety of sports, including:

  • Basketball

  • Soccer

  • Flag Football

  • Dodgeball

  • Volleyball

  • Baseball

  • And much more!

In addition to sports, we’ll be running a Smart Moves Program that focuses on promoting emotional wellness, healthy relationships, and decision-making skills. This program aims to help kids build strong character and navigate the challenges of growing up with confidence.
