Healthy Habits for Healthy Lifestyles
March has been filled with lots of learning and exploring at the Club! in Healthy Habits, members are learning about healthy eating choices and participating in hands on activities to reinforce living a healthy lifestyle. This includes learning about the five food groups, tasting vegetables and fruits, creating healthy sandwich choices, understanding what makes a snack healthy or unhealthy, and the importance of looking at how much sugar is in our drinks. Our teens even created healthy vending machine options and ways to visually show if a food would be a good snack choice. We hope that our members will take what they are learning in Healthy Habits back home and encourage the rest of their family to make healthy choices with them!
